The following terms and conditions apply:
Applicants must hold a first class undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
The scheme will be available for new PhD students starting on or after October 2017.
Applicants must be entirely self-funded (without external funding, e.g. scholarships or sponsorships). The Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarship cannot be combined with any other University discounts or awards, (for example, the Alumni Bursary).
Both full time and part time applicants are eligible, as are UK, EU and overseas students.
Up to 30 Scholarships are available in the first instance, for the academic year 2017/18.

You’ll receive an acknowledgement email and we’ll start to process your application. Please be aware that it usually takes a minimum of 6 weeks to assess your application.
We will keep in touch with you throughout this time, with news and information about the University, and don't forget you can log into the Application Portal to track the progress of your application.
If your application is successful, we’ll send you an email with details of any conditions (for instance, related to outstanding results). You should then log back into the Application Portal and accept our offer, which conditionally secures your place.
