CVASU to build outreach campus

A new campus of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) will be set up in Dariyanagar area of Cox's Bazar.

Nearly 256 crore taka will be spent to build the campus in three years on the five acres of sea and mountainous land. The construction works will begin from next December.

The local people received the delegation team led by the Vice-Chancellor of CVASU Gautam Buddha Das with their flowers, while they went to visit the place for the campus on October 03, 2015 (Saturday) morning.

At the time, the chairman of Dariyanagar Rehabilitation Project and Social Committee Mahbub Alam on behalf of local people assured cooperation for setting up campus in remote coastal and underdeveloped area.

Account BenefitProfessor Nurul Absar Khan, Director of Education Welfare Affairs of the university Professor Mohammad Alamgir Hossain were also present on the occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Gautam Buddha Das said, the government has primarily allocated 90 crore taka to build administrative buildings, housing for teachers and two separate hostels for students in the Cox's Bazar Campus.

This campus will be the first outreach campus for an autonomous public university. A new horizon in education will begin with this.
