New system for teachers recruiting

Government has decided to recruit teachers quickly in the MPO listed private educational institutions on the basis of the certificate of registration.

Amendment of the Registration and Certification Act has been recommended regarding this.

The committee regarding government vacant posts filling, creating new posts and to accelerate the process of appointment in these posts has recommended this. The decision of committee has been informed to the Ministry of Education on March 16, 2015. Officials of the Ministry of Public Administration said that.

Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan said, "The teacher in private educational institutions will be appointed on the basis of the registration. Work is underway to amend the rules. Official order will be issued soon. And letters have been sent to all the private educational institutions across the country to know the amount of vacant posts. The information about vacant posts starts come from across the country."

Officials of the Ministry of Education said, the registration certificate is the final for hiring teachers in MPO listed secondary to graduate level private educational institutions in this new act. Registration certificate holders will not have to take part in any of the examinations for appointment as a teacher in the district and upazila levels.

Even the school authorities will not be able to take the oral exam. There will no marks for the oral tests if the school authorities takes any, it will be a formality only.

Currently there are allegations against the schools managing committees for recruiting teachers by taking bribes.

Currently the 200 marks written test is taken for teachers' registration. Registration seekers do not have to take part in any oral exam. But the registered teachers have to take part in the oral tests under the relevant educational institution authorities despite being registered. Many allegations have risen at that time.

Candidates have to take part in the oral exam in the revised system. The combination of oral and written examination results will be published for the district and upazila levels. Local educational institutions have to appoint teachers in accordance with the given results in the form of Public Service Commission.

Currently there are 30 percent of women teachers in secondary to the graduate level of private school educational institutions. The rate will be 50 percent in the new system.
