Cement industry is spreading in the country due to the huge demand. Currently, more than 35 registered domestic cement companies and five foreign companies are working in Bangladesh. As a result, many people were and being employed. You can find a suitable job in this industry for yourself.

Switzerland based cement company- Holcim operating their activities in more than 70 countries around the world. They started working in Bangladesh in 2000. The company's Vice President (Human Resources and Administration Department), Syed Masudul Hasan said about the present and future of this industry.

He said cement industry getting bigger day by day, so employment opportunity also increasing. Technical manpower needed here for technical section and non-technical manpower for general works. Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineers are required for technical works. They are basically working inside the industry. They are directly involved in the production of cement.

Mechanical engineers are working on the main operation. Monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of cement factory equipment. Electrical engineers are working in electricity sector. To ensure proper supplies of electricity for cement production. There are also chemical engineers. They are involved in cement quality testing and regular monitoring.

In addition, cement industries also needed Civil engineers for the variety of work. Syed Masudul Hasan said, cement industries needed the help of Civil engineers to answer various technical questions of customers. Because of their experience in this sector, cement companies are recruiting civil engineers. In addition, the company also needed them for its own deployment works.

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and public engineering university students all over the country are given priority for appointment. However, the talented young people are being taken for these posts from quality private universities. And Diploma or Trade Course completed students are taken for operator or technician posts.

Cost or Chartered Accountant and Finance or Accounting Graduates are given priority for accounting section. The human resources management section gives priority to the graduates in related departments."

Additional Managing Director of Crown Cement Mohammad Alamgir Kabir said, cement companies introduced market research and planning division to understand customers' needs. Statistics and marketing graduates are being taken for this sector. In addition, a significant number of manpower is being recruiting in the shopping section. Purchasing of all the tools and products that the company needed is the work of them. Business graduates are taken in this section.

In addition, branding increasing is a popular topic nowadays. Almost every company has an eye on this. Marketing and mass media graduates are getting chances in this section.
