Apply Procedure

Application form can be downloaded from (www.ru.ac.bd/ibs).

Account Benefit

Admission Requirements

Candidates with MPhil degrees (except those who did M.Phil. degrees under sub-clause 2 of clause 5 of the MPhil Ordinance) and degrees with similar standard are eligible for admission into PhD Program. But Rajshahi Universities Teacher can submission Application directly.

or

Candidates who have received scholarships from the University Grants Commission for pursuing doctoral program are eligible for admission into the PhD program.

or

Teachers with 5 years' experience at degree levels and persons from Research Institute with 5 (five) years' research experience and with 2 (two) published research articles in both cases and 50% marks or GPA equivalent to second class Masters Final Examination and no Third Division/Class/equivalent GPA in any other examinations are eligible for admission into PhD program.

Special Notes

The Institute offers a good number of fellowships for full-time study at the Institute. The award of fellowship is effective from the time of admission. Initially a PhD Fellow receives Tk. 5000.00 per month tenable for 3 years. The awardees of fellowship must sign a bond. In line with UGC the amount of fellowship will be increased in future if budget allocation is available.
