Must be a Citizens of Bangladesh. Mentally and physically in good health.

Age Below Forty (40) years old as of April 01, 2015. (Born on/after April 02, 1975).

Completed sixteen (16) years of school education with at least Bachelor's degree.
At least two (2) First Division or equivalent with no Third Division.

To be a confirmed member of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Cadre for at least two (2) years of work experience by March 31, 2015.
To be a Class-1 Officer of Bangladesh Bank for at least two (2) years of work experience in Bangladesh Bank by March 31, 2015.

Successful Candidates are required to submit a pledge on the conditions deemed necessary as scholarship participants under the JDS Program.

JDS Fellows are obliged to return and work within Bangladesh at least two (2) years in order to make a contribution to the development of Bangladesh through their work as a BCS Cadre Official or Bangladesh Bank Class-1 Officer, complying with the Act of Pledge required by Economic Relations Division of the Ministry of Finance.
