UGC not to take liability

The Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) has published a public notice to warn all public universities in the country.

It was informed that the UGC do not take any liability for opening new faculty, department, course, institute, center, recruitment, and student admission in the public universities without the approval of the UGC.

The public notice said, the parent organization of all universities in the country said, "Opening of new faculty, department, course, institute, center, and recruitment & student admission cannot be organized in any way without the permission of UGC".

Account BenefitThe public notice warned that, concerned universities which continue the activities causing the exception to the rule must carry the responsibilities. The UGC will not accept any responsibility for all the students who passed from these faculties, departments, institutes, centers or courses.

UGC strictly highlights its position that it would not approve any budget for the unapproved sectors. Earlier, the UGC also published public notice describing the predominating problems of few private universities in the country.
