The scholarships are intended for students from the above-mentioned target groups for full time studies in Sweden. There is no age limit for scholarship holders.

Scholarships cannot be granted for students who:
1. Have already lived in Sweden for two years or more previous to the scholarship period.
2. Have a permanent residence or work permit in Sweden.
3. Have previously been awarded a Swedish Institute scholarship for studies at Master's level or research at a Swedish university.
4. Already hold a Master's degree from a Swedish university/university college.
5. Are currently enrolled in a study program on Bachelor's or Master's level at a Swedish university or university college.

Prior to applying for a scholarship, applicants must apply for a study program at the Swedish official online application service University Admissions, www.universityadmissions.se. Deadline for applications is January 15, 2013. Applicants can apply for a maximum of four study programs.

Submit the payment of their application fee to University Admissions before February 1, 2013. Then apply for the scholarship, the scholarship application period for the academic year 2013/2014 will be February 1-11, 2013. Please note that the application fee to University Admissions must be paid before applicants submit their scholarship application to the Swedish Institute.

The eligible study programs for Swedish Institute scholarships have been selected by the Swedish universities. The list of eligible study programs can be found here. Applicants have to observe that personal application number retrieved in the confirmation from their study program registration has to be used when applying for a scholarship.

Applicants must prepare the mandatory enclosures for their scholarship application:
1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) of maximum three pages. Additional pages will not be considered.
2. Europass format ONLY, use this template.
3. Motivation letter has to be completed by using the SI template found here.
4. They should read the questions in the Motivation letter thoroughly and be explicit in their reasoning. Answers may not exceed the allowed number of characters for each question.
***Kindly note that no other documents than the Europass CV and Motivation letter should be submitted.

1. The Swedish Institute will evaluate applicants application in March-April 2013. The applications are assessed by a selection committee taking into consideration the relevance and quality of the personal Motivation letter and CV. Academic merits are already evaluated by the universities in the admission round and is not a criteria for scholarships.
2. SI will publish a list of successful scholarship candidates at Studyinsweden.se on April 5, 2013.
3. Applicants have to accept their place at the study program at Universityadmissions.se before April 8, 2013.
4. Each successful candidate will receive an official scholarship offer by e-mail and is requested to accept or reject this offer by April 19, 2013.

The Swedish Institute provides scholarships in Sweden to highly-qualified international students from developing countries who wants to study at Sweden Universities.

Scholarships are intended for studies in Sweden starting in the fall semester 2013 (August) and focus mainly on master’s level. A few scholarships will be awarded for studies at Bachelor’s level.
