Honors Admission Test Date Changed

The admission test date of Rajshahi University (RU) honors first year under the academic session 2012-13 has been changed. The admission tests will now begin from October 4, 2012 and continue till October 9, 2012.
Earlier, the admission tests were scheduled to start on October 6, 2012.
The decision of rescheduling the date of admission test was taken in the meeting of admission test sub-committee on September 19, 2012 night with VC Professor Abdus Sobhan in the chair.
The examination date has been taken ahead by two days to October 4, 2012 from the earlier fixed date as the number of candidates was increased in some departments remarkably.
"This time, we shall have to take admission test of the students splitting them into two groups in some subjects where the number of admission seekers is higher because of accommodation crisis," PRO of RU Professor Mishra clarified.
Around 2.42 lakh students are going to appear in the admission test against 3,615 seats in 49 departments under eight faculties this year. The number of last year's admission seekers was 1,31,159. An average of 69 candidates will compete for each seat on October 4, 2012.
