69 Candidates for Each Seat at RU

Rajshahi University (RU) is set for the 1st year honors admission test with 2, 42, 264 candidates on 8 faculties, 49 departments competing for 3615 seats.
This means an average of 69 candidates will compete for each seat on October 6, 2012.
Sources informed that, this year total number of candidates for 1st year honors admission tests is twice than the previous year. Last year, the total number of candidates was 1, 31, 159.
Sources also informed that, this year 9, 469 applications were submitted in A unit; 8, 905 applications in B unit; 23, 239 applications in A-3 unit; 6, 589 applications in A-4 unit; 5, 920 applications in A-5 unit; 1, 750 applications in A-6 unit; 1, 494 applications in A-7 unit; 26, 283 applications in C-1 unit; 13, 977 applications in C-2 unit; 29, 623 applications in D unit; 32, 039 applications in E unit; 11, 371 applications in F1 unit; 10, 922 applications in F2 unit; 14,047 applications in G unit and 22, 004 applications in H unit.
The deadline of application was September 17, 2012. Now, the admission test will begin from October 6, 2012 and continue till October 9, 2012.
