BUET Classes Resumes on Sep 15

Classes of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) have resumed on September 15, 2012 morning after a 65-day deadlock.

The classes resumed around 8:00 am as the students and teachers returned to classes. The classes resumed with a new calendar approved at the Deans' Committee on September 10, 2012.

BUET has returned to normalcy with the removal of BUET pro-vice chancellor Professor M Habibur Rahman on September 9, 2012.

The university authority also withdrew two cases filed against the students during the protests as per the assurance of the minister to the demonstrators.

Sources informed that, all agitating teachers and students have returned to classes.

According to the calendar, the classes will continue till October 19, 2012 before going on a 14-day vacation on the occasion of Durga Puja and Eid-ul-Azha.

The semester final exams will begin on November 17, 2012.
