Lakshmipur Commerce College Students Protest for Taking Extra Fees

2nd year students of Lakshmipur Commerce College has organized a protest procession for taking extra session fees from the students. They also boycotted their classes as part of their protest program.

During their protest, some teachers led by the principal attacked students with sticks. At least 20 students were injured then.

Later students blocked Lakshmipur- Ramgati and Lakshmipur – Raypur road demanding resignation of principal. After that, they demonstrated in front of the district council office.

Students claimed that, by breaking rules college authority took 6,100 Tk. instead of 5, 100 Tk. as session fee. When they applied to the principal to reduce the session fee he denied it and misbehaved with them.
