PUST Students-Transport Workers Clash

At least five people were injured as Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) students and transport workers clashed in the district town on July 29, 2012.
Sources informed that, an altercation erupted between the students and the staffs of a Pabna-bound bus when the vehicle was passing by a procession of the students in Rajapur area at about 1:30pm.
At one stage, the unruly transport workers picked up two students and took them to Pabna bus terminal.
As the news spread, a chase and counter-chase took place between the both groups, leaving at least five from both sides injured.
Earlier, the students of the university blocked Dhaka-Pabna highway demanding removal of Vice-chancellor Mozaffar Hossain.
