Reception and Farewell at CUET

Shahid Tarek Huda residential hall of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) at it's premises organized a fresher's reception and a farewell program recently. Newly admitted students under 2011 batch were welcomed and the outgoing students of 2007 batch were farewelled through the program.
CUET vice chancellor Dr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam attended the function as the chief guest. Presided over by Sajal Chandra Banik, Provost of the hall the function was attended among others by Bangabandhu hall provost Dr. Ashutos Saha, provost of Shahid Mohammed Shah hall Md.Abdul Wazded and assistant provost of Shahid Tarek Huda hall Muhammad Rashidul Hasan and Sanaul Rabbi Pabel.
Vice chancellor at his speech welcomed the fresher’s and wished continuous success for the outgoing students. He also invocated the outgoing students to enhance reputation of the university through playing effective roles in their work places.
The function had been featured by cutting cake for fresher's, awarding crest to the outgoing students and releasing a photo of Shahid Tarek Huda after whom the hall is named.
Earlier, vice chancellor Dr. Jahangir Alam was given a special crest by the students for being nominated as the International Engineer of the year-2012 by UK-based International Biographic Center of Cambridge (IBCC).
The hall premises had been decorated colorfully. An unplugged musical night was also performed by the students throughout the night.
