DUET Students Blocked Rail Crossing

For the demand of campus expansion, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) students have blocked the vurulia rail crossing of Dhaka-Rajshahi route on July 19, 2012.
Sources informed that, protesting students blocked the rail line for one hour. At first, they gathered at vurulia and began to protest. Later, they collected woods and torched fire on the rail crossing at 12.30pm.
Seeing this, the driver of silk city stopped the train from half mile ahead of rail crossing. Hundreds of vehicles stalked in jam at that time.
On information, Joydevpur police rushed to the spot and got the situation under control.
