Some leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) beat up eight activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir at Dinajpur Medical College (DMC) on July 20, 2012 centering pasting posters.
Tension is prevailing in the campus. Additional police have been deployed to avert any untoward situation.
The injured were given treatment at Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.
BCL leaders claimed that, the Shibir men's posters displayed anti-state slogans in the name of Ramadan.
Following the incident, the authorities of the medical college sat an emergency meeting at noon, said college Principal Dr. Kanta Roy Rimi.
