PUST Students' Demanded 8-Point

Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) students have begun their agitation program from July 17 demanding their 8-point.
Following this, all classes, labs and other educational activities of all departments' were suspended.
Earlier, in the morning students gathered at TTC (temporary campus of PUST) and locked all the gates. Moreover, they blocked the Dhaka – Pabna highway for one hour torching fire on the road.
When informed, police rushed to the spot and tried to control the situation, but they failed.
PUST students' main demands are - to start short semester system, acceptable GPA system, to stop making result on the basis of current process, to increase the registration time from 6 years to 8 years, to employ experienced and talented teachers, to make permanent campus as soon as possible and so on.
Students stayed in their position till 2 pm. During their protest program students declared that, they will begin their class abstention program and indefinite strike if their demand isn't fulfilled.
