Case Filed Against 14 RU Students

A murder case was filed against 14 Rajshahi University (RU) students, those who have been named as accused in the death of Sohel Rana, a student of RU.
Organizing secretary of RU BCL Mohammad Noman filed the case with Motihar Thana at about 12:30am Tuesday.
The assistant sub inspector of Motihar Thana Mr. Shahjahan said, "Noman, an organizing secretary of BCL filed the case against 14 BCL men, including expelled organizing secretary of BCL Touhid Al Tuhin."
On the other development, the University authorities formed a five-member probe committee to look into the matter at an emergency syndicate meeting on Monday night.
The committee was asked to submit its report within 15 working days.
Sohel was killed on Sunday midnight in a clash between the followers of president and general secretary of the BCL RU unit, student wing of ruling Awami League. He was shot in the clash and admitted to RMCH. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated and succumbed to his injuries on Monday noon while undergoing treatment.
