Academic Council Meeting of GUB

The 9th Academic Council meeting of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) was held on 14 July, 2012 in the Board Room of the university. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Quazi Deen Mohd Khosru, the Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of the University.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad (Professor of BUET), Prof. Dr. M. Rabiul Hossain (Dean of Law, GUB), Prof. Dr. Md. Saifur Rahman (Chairman of Textile Dept., GUB), Dr. Md. Muhibul Haque Bhuiyan (Chairman of EEE Dept., GUB), Dr. Nurul Islam Babul (Chairman of FTDM Dept., GUB), Mr. Rashed Chowdhury (Chairman of Business Dept., GUB), Mrs. Syeda Sanjida Islam (Chairman of English Dept., GUB), Mr. Md. Elias Mollah (Chairman of CSE Dept., GUB), Mr. Md. Mominul Hoque Dhali (CEO of US-Bangla Group) and Md. Shahid Ullah (Registrar of GUB) were present in the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the proceedings of the 8th Academic Council Meeting were confirmed unanimously. Besides this, the revised syllabuses of different courses and Academic Calendar of Fall-2012 trimester were confirmed in the meeting. It was informed in the meeting about the examinations rules, certification of ISO 9001: 2008, memberships of International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) and Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), free transportation for students, air-conditioned class rooms with multimedia facilities, disciplinary committee and University Automation System for better use of computer technology at all levels of the University. It was discussed thoroughly in the meeting about the quality of higher education of the country and fervently hoped that by rapid structural & academic development, this university (GUB) might be turned into a model Private University.
