Italian Ambassador Delivering Speech in DU P & C Dept. Anniv

Peace and Conflict Studies (PCS) Department of Dhaka University (DU) celebrated its 13th foundation anniversary yesterday amid much enthusiasm.
The celebration included foundation day lecture, peace procession and cultural function.
The foundation day lecture styled ' Terrorism in Italy and Europe in the '70's: The Democratic Stand of Italy Against It' was held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus.
Italian Ambassador in Dhaka Giorgio Guglielmino delivered the foundation lecture while DU Arts Faculty Dean Professor Sadrul Amin addressed as the special guest.
Presided over PCS Department Chairman M Rafiqul Islam, the programme was addressed, among others, by Professor Dalem Chandra Barman of the department.
Later, a colorful procession was brought out on the campus. Moreover, a pleasant cultural program was organized at TSC at 6pm.
