Admission Test on Dec 1, 2012

The admission test for 1st year BSc Eng. courses of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) under 2012-13 academic session will be held on December 1, 2012.
The application forms will be available online on the university website from October 10, 2012. The last date for submission of the application form is October 22, 2012.
List of eligible candidates for the admission tests would be published on November 10, 2012. The admission test result will be published on December 15, 2012.
The minimum qualifications to apply for the admission test are CGPA 4 both in the SSC and HSC examinations.
The candidates must have GPA-5 in physics, chemistry, mathematics and English in their HSC examinations.
The date was fixed at the meeting of academic Council on October 1, 2012. Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Professor Muhammad Zakaria presided over the meeting.
The academic council finalized the admission test schedules on the basis of recommendations of the committee.
However, Vice Chancellor Professor SM Nazrul Islam did not attend the meeting. He however sent a note to the council mentioning that he could not attend the meeting because of his illness and asked the council members to continue the meeting as per the rules.
A total of 1,000 students will be enrolled to the university.
