DIU Chairman in Global Entrepreneurship

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan Chairman, Daffodil International University & Daffodil Family represented Daffodil & Bangladesh in the grand 4 days event Global Entrepreneurship Congress- GEC 2017, held at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa in 13th to 16th March 2017 with representation from 170+ countries.

HE Cyril Ramaphosa, Deputy President, Government of South Africa; Ms Lindiwe Zulu, Minister of Small Business Development, SA; Mr David Makhura, Premier of Gauteng; Mr Herman Mashaba, Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Mr Jonathan Ortmans, President of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Mr Kizito Okechukwu, Executive Head of SEA Africa; leaders of business, government and civil society, development partners, along with many other dignitaries and successful entrepreneurs and guests from around the globe were also present.
Since it launched in 2009, the Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an inter-disciplinary yearly gathering of startup champions from around the world-where entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, thought leaders and policymakers work together to identify new ways of helping founders start and scale new ventures around the world.

Account BenefitIn an occasion, Mr. Khan handed over his recently published book “A Journey towards Entrepreneurship” to Jonathan Ortmans, GEN President, who appreciated the attempt of Mr. Khan to facilitated entrepreneurship around the globe, which is also a theme of GEN.

During the congress Mr. Khan gave a vibrant interview with GEN TV where Sabur Khan focused on entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship, venture capital, startup, angel investment, etc. which was appreciated by the audience. His active participation opened up scope to flourish Daffodil & Bangladesh with many country representatives to build a large scale international networking & contacts.
