Edexcel High Achievers Award 2016

Edexcel, a UK-based institution offering academic and vocational qualifications and testing, has awarded a total of 565 students for their outstanding results in the academic year 2016.

Edexcel, with the support of British Council, organized the 5th academic award at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital. The students were awarded in four different categories.

A total of 385 students were awarded for their outstanding achievement in International GCSE, 82 awardees in GCE A Levels, 47 awardees in PLSC (Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum) and 51 students received the special awards for attaining world highest and country highest marks.

Account BenefitMore than 1,500 attendees including students, teachers, parents and guests took part in the event. Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid graced the occasion as chief guest.

British high commissioner Alison Blake, British Council acting director Jim Scarth OBE, Pearson UK director of qualification development , assessment and awarding, Derek Richardson, Pearson South Asia vice president Harish Doraiswamy, were also present in the occasion as special guests.
