Chemistry Olympiad ends at DU

Final round of the 7th Bangladesh Chemistry Olympiad, organized by the Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS) was held today in the Curzon Hall premises at Dhaka University (DU).

On the concluding day, DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest.

President of BCS Abul Basar Miah presided over the function while Dean of DU Science Faculty Professor Dr. MA Aziz and Vice Chairman of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam addressed it as special guests.

Account BenefitConvener of the Chemistry Olympiad Professor Dr. Mohammad Shoeb and Chairman of DU Chemistry Department Professor Dr. NIlufar Nahar as well as students of the department were present at the function, among others.

A total of 171 students, selected from the first phase of the competition, participated in the final round. Of them, 10 were awarded as winner for their extra-ordinary performance.
