GP Student Society at AUB

The introduction seminar for newly formed GP Students' Society under Government and Politics Department of Asian University of Bangladesh (AUB) was held on November 19, 2016.

Founder and Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Abul Hasan Muhammad Sadeq was present as the chief guest. In his speech the chief guest welcomed the GP Students Society and highlighted the importance of Government and Politics department.

He said, with a degree from Government and Politics department, many are now settled in government and private sectors in the country. Many people have been able to achieve successful career overseas. This department plays an important role in bringing fame to AUB.

The chief guest to the new office-bearers of GP Society said, co-curriculum activities of AUB are the unique addition to the country's education system. Students have to learn many things that are beyond textbooks, and to increasing their efficiency through adapting traditional society. Co-Curriculum Activities of AUB plays an important role in achieving this efficiency.

Among others, the ceremony was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration Professor Dr. Mosharraf Hossain, Associate Professor of Government and Politics Department Md. Shamsuzzaman, chairman of the newly formed GP Student Society Md. Shakhawat Hossain Selim and general secretary Abdullah Al Mamun including departmental students.

Head of Government and Politics Department Sheikh Asif S. Mizan presided over the program. Cultural group of Government and Politics Department performed cultural programs at the second phase of the program.
