DU Entrance Test Held with BCS Question

BCS question in DU entrance test

A big part of the question of Dhaka University (DU) 'B' unit admission test under the academic session 2016-17 has been matches with 21st BCS question.

It has been seen in the 'Passage' and 'Multiple-Question' sections of 'General English' question. Academics and analysts have criticized the matter as well.

DU 'Kha' unit admission test was held on September 23, 2016 (Friday) at 10:00 am. An examinee from Jhenidah Rasel Rana said, "If the Dhaka University mimics the BCS question then who knows where the quality of education goes? Many of our co-examinees said that they cannot answer the questions well."

Dhaka University's English department Professor Syed Manzurul Islam has criticized the teachers and academics over the question mimics. He said, "How is it possible? The quality of BCS questions are prepared with the level that students acquired after reading the four-year honors. It would be irrelevant to prepare same question for recently college passed students. However, there may be the similar passages; but the questioner should prepare different questions."

The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique said, "It is not wrong. But I'll find it why is that happened?"
