DU Online Application for 1st Year Admission Begins

DU online admission begins

The online application process for the 1st year honors admission tests of Dhaka University (DU) under the academic session 2016-17 has began on August 22, 2016 and will continue till September 07, 2016.

DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the admission process at 10:00 am at central admission office of the university, said a press release.

According to the schedule, the admission tests of 'Kha Unit' will be held on September 23, 'Ga Unit' on September 30, 'Ka Unit' on October 21 and 'Gha Unit' on October 28, 2016. The General Knowledge part of admission test for Cha Unit (Faculty of Fine Arts) will be held on September 24 and the Drawing part on October 1, the release read.

This year, students are required to have a minimum GPA 8.0 to apply for Ka unit, 7.0 for Kha unit, 7.5 for Ga unit, and 6.5 for Cha unit, combining SSC and HSC with the additional subject.

The admission test fee for a single unit is fixed at Tk 350 including bank service charge and online admission fee. The decisions were taken at a general meeting on August 21, 2016 at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building with DU VC in the chair.
