The Independence Teachers Council demonstrated their 9-point demand to make madrasa education up to date and scientific.

Central Committee of the Dhaka Teachers Council Madrasa Unit declared the new committee with the determination to stand against militancy, terrorism at Dhaka Reporters Unity on July 30, 2016 (Saturday).

Central General Secretary of the Independence Teachers Council Principal Md. Shahjahan Alam Saju presented the 9-point demand to the Prime Minister and Education Minister to make madrasa education up to date.

The 9-point demands are- overhaul Madrasa course curriculum in order to make madrasa education up to date and scientific, nationalization of individual Ebtedayee madrasas, establish one madrasa in each Upazila, MPO listing for all affiliated madrasas, MPO for ICT teachers by appointing subject wise teachers, ensure the singing of national anthem in madrasas and hoisting the national flag, appointment of pro-liberation forces in madrasa education board and Arabic University etc.
