Finally, a Public University is going to be established in Netrokona. Considering the demands of the district educationists, government has already decided in this regard.

Prime Minister's Personal Secretary-1 (Additional Secretary) Sajjadul Hasan confirmed that. Possible place for the university has already been selected.

Earlier on June 10, 2016 (Friday), District Commissioner Dr. Mushfiqur Rahman told about the decision to set up a public university in Netrokona. The Prime Minister's Personal Secretary-1 (Additional Secretary) Sajjadul Hasan was confirmed later.

Deputy Commissioner of the district said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the decision to set up a public university according to the demands of elected public representatives of Netrokona, people of different social and political groups and associations, Netrokona Samiti in Dhaka, above all the people of all walks of life and the sincere efforts of Prime Minister's Personal Secretary-1 (Additional Secretary) Sajjadul Hassan.
