NUB Holds Graduation Dinner for LLB Students

NUB holds graduation dinner

The Department of Law at Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) held a graduation dinner for the graduates of the LLB (Hons) and LLB degree programs.

Mr. Abu Saleh Md. Zahidul Haque, Secretary, Ministry of Law, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, was present as the Chief Guest while Dr. Richard Bales, Dean, Department of Law, Ohio Northern University, was present as the honorary Guest.

Dr. Abu Yousuf Md Abdullah, Chairman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust (NUBT), Professor Dr. Anwarul Karim, Pro-VC and noted Researcher on Lalon, NUB, Mr. Anwar Hussain, Treasurer, NUB, Lt. Col (Retd) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui , Registrar, NUB, were also present as Special Guests.

The program was conducted by Dr. AWM Abdul Haque, eminent Educationalist and acting Vice Chancellor and Dean, Department of Law, NUB.

In his speech, Mr. Zahidul Haque said that Lawyers were the social engineers of a nation and that democracy and the rule of law were interlinked. He also urged the students to utilize technology in order to establish the rule of Law in society.

Account BenefitDr. Bales offered his congratulations to the Law Department of NUB for its success and urged the students to dedicate themselves to becoming Lawyers of the highest international standards.

In his speech, Dr. Abdullah congratulated the graduating students and urged them to help build a prosperous Bangladesh and uphold the reputation of NUB.

At the end of the program, degrees were distributed among the graduates by Mr. Zahidul Haque, Dr. Abdullah, and Dr. Bales.

Also present at the program were Professor Afroza Bilkis, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, Deans of the various programs, heads of the various departments, Teachers, Officials and students.
