Teachers to start work abstention

Public university teachers have decided to abstain from works for 3-hour on May 02, 2016 at all public universities demanding justice to the gruesome murder of professor AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee.

The decision was taken on a general meeting of teachers held at Teachers' club at Dhaka University on April 26, 2016, said Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers' Association President Farid Uddin Ahmed.

The president of the body mentioned that teachers will also hold rallies and precessions in their respective campuses on May 2 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

To express solidarity with the agitating teachers and student, leaders of the federation also join a protest rally at Rajshahi University campus on May 3, said Professor Farid.
