Pharmacy and Social Work departments of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) celebrated the "Bengali New Year 1423".

Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Science and Head of Social Work department Dr. Arifatul Kibria was present as the chief guest at the seminar in the first phase of day-long program chaired by the Social Work department's Assistant Professor Jakia Sultana at Baridhara main campus of UITS.

In his speech, the chief guest highlighted the beginning of Bengali New Year at introduction of a variety of events of the thousand years old traditional Bangla.

Account BenefitHead of the Pharmacy department Professor Md. Mofazzal Hossain started the program by calling to build a better nation together forgetting all discrimination through the New Year.

Acting Registrar of UITS Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Dean of the School of Business Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, CSE and IT department head Md. Raihan Uddin Ahmed, Head of the English department Syeda Afsana Ferdausi and teachers of different departments, officers and students were also present as the special guests.
