Social Worker can Play Vital Role to Awaken Society

UITS observe World Social Work Day

Speakers have observed that a social worker can play a vital role to awaken the backward society by raising awareness among the people to overcome different social prejudices and dogmatism.

"A social activist works to show the way to the underprivileged people", said Professor Arifatul Kibria, head of Social Works Department of University of Information Technology and Science (UITS).

She was addressing as the chief guest at a function marking the World Social Work Day at the university premises on March 30, 2016, according to a press release. She hoped that the new generation social workers would take forward the country with their innovative ideas.
