BU Gives Warm Reception to Mount Everest Conquerors

Everest conquerors reception at BU

One of the leading private universities in the country Bangladesh University (BU) has given hearty reception to the Everest Conquerors of India, Nepal and Bangladesh.

On the occasion, an unostentatious program has been held at Bangladesh University auditorium on October 27, 2015. Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, honorable MP of Dhaka 13, Joint General Secretary of Awami League, was remain present as chief guest.

Engr. MA Ghulam Dastagir, member, Board of Trustees, Bangladesh University and Architect Iqbal Habib, city planner and environmentalist of the country were also present as special guests. Mr. Kamrul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor in-charge, Bangladesh University chaired the occasion.

Among others Ms. Susmita Masky, first Nepalese woman conqueror of Seven Suummits, Dr. Tridiv Kumar Bose, awarded mountaineer from India and first Bangladeshi Mt. Everest conqueror Md. Musa Ibrahim also spoke on the occasion.

First Bengalyee Mt. Everest conqueror from India Mr. Debasis Biswas presented a nice panoramic power point presentation in the program.

Account BenefitIn the grand reception celebration, Musa Ibrahim, Debashish and Susmita expressed that one should have dream in him and self-confidence to become great. Musa Ibrahim said, "Adventure makes us confident. I am waiting for that day when parents from Bangladesh will start going to conquer Everest with their children frequently to enjoy the vacation holidays."

Debashis said, "One has to dream first how to climb on top of his career. Then he can become a great man or winner in life." Sushmita Masky said, "When you start believing yourself as a hero, you can become a hero".

The chief guest of the celebration program, Mr. Jahangir Kabir Nanok, joint Awami Secretary and ex-state minister, congratulated the conquerors. University authority welcomed chief guest and all conquerors of Everest with crests and bouquets.

At the end, the conquerors of Everest participated in a sapling ceremony of Bangladesh University campus. All faculty members, students, employees and invited guests were present in the function.
