KUET, RUET and DUET Day Observed with Much Enthusiasm

KUET, RUET and DUET Day celebrated

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) in Gazipur celebrated their 12th founding anniversary on September 01, 2015 through various programs.

In KUET, University Grant Commission (UGC) member Md. Mohabbat Khan inaugurated the celebration program as chief guest. Administrator of Zila Parishad, Khulna Sheikh Harunur Rashid was the special guest while Vice-Chancellor of KUET Muhammed Alamgir presided over the function. Teachers, students of the university brought out a procession from the administrative building that paraded the Fulbarigate area of Khulna city with colorful banner, festoon and placards. The daylong programs, included hoisting national and university flags, blood donation, cultural function, re-union of students, teachers and employees of the university.

Meanwhile, RUET celebrated 'university day' amid joy, enthusiasm and fanfare marking its 12th founding anniversary. The founding day's program began with the hoisting of national flag followed by plantation of tree saplings in the morning. RUET Vice-Chancellor Rafiqul Alam Beg opened the day-long programs. Marking the day, a large number of teachers, students, officers and employees brought out a colorful procession that paraded through the campus. A discussion was also held on physical centre premises.

Account BenefitIn DUET, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki inaugurated the celebration programs releasing pigeons as the chief guest on the campus in Gazipur. A colorful procession was also brought out from the old academic building, led by the state minister Chumki that was paraded the university campus. Teachers, students officers and employees participated in the procession. Later, a discussion meeting was held at Shahid Ahsan Ullah Master Auditorium of the university presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Alauddin.

On September 01 in 2003, the government announced the than Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT) as a public university named Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET). It is the only higher educational institute of Bangladesh for diploma engineers who pass from different polytechnic institutes in the country.
