DU Bijoy 71 Hall Opened for All Religions Students

DU Bijoy 71 hall for all religions

Students of all religions are likely to get the residence opportunity at the newly-built residential hall Bijoy 71 of Dhaka University from next academic year 2015-16.

This is the first male hall of the university where the students of all faiths are getting the chance to coexistence. However, there is the coexistence of all religions in female halls of the university from the beginning.

The university syndicate has decided to open the hall for all religious students based on the application of the hall provost Professor AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan.

A letter from sub-register office of the university was sent to the hall provost on August 02, 2015 (Sunday) to take the necessary measures in this regard.

Account BenefitThe sources said that, on 9th July 2015, Professor Dr. Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan applied to the vice-chancellor for place of students from all religions.

Discussion on the issue was held at a syndicate meeting on July 13, 2015. At the time, a decision was taken to open the hall for students from all religions.

Professor Dr. Bhuiyan said, "People from all regions were dedicated their lives in the liberation war of Bangladesh."
