Second time admission at DU

The High Court has scheduled July 08, 2015 (Wednesday) for the verdict of filed rule against the decision of cancelling second time admission test opportunity at Dhaka University (DU).

The High Court bench consisting of Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi Md. Ijarul Haque Akand fixed the date on July 07, 2015 (Tuesday), after the hearing of filed rule on this issue.

Advocate Subrata Chowdhury argued on behalf of the petitioner. Advocate AFM Mesbah Uddin argued on behalf of the University of Dhaka. Deputy Attorney General Amit Talukder attends on behalf of the state.

Account BenefitEarlier, on March 16, on the hearing of a writ petition the High Court issued a rule asking why the decision of cancelling second time admission test opportunity at Dhaka University should not be declared illegal.

At the same time, the court also wants to know, why the order will not be given to take new decision by changing the old decision.

26 parents of students seeking admission including Minara Begum and Ruhul Amin filed the petition.
