Country's Fifth Agricultural University to be Established in Khulna

Khulna Agri. University bill passed

The National Parliament on July 05, 2015 passed the Khulna Agriculture University Bill 2015 in an amended form.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid proposed passage of the bill with a view to establishing a new agriculture university in Khulna to impart higher education in agriculture.

According to the bill, the establishment of the university will help impart higher education in agriculture to students side by side with carrying out research and studies on the subject.

On June 1, 2015 the parliamentary standing committee on education ministry placed the report on Khulna Agriculture University Bill 2015 in the National Parliament.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education Ministry M. Afsarul Amin placed the report under the Rule 211 of the Rules of Procedure of the House.
