Bribing trade at BOU Satkhira

Bribing trade is running in Satkhira regional center of Bangladesh Open University (BOU) to distribution certificates and mark-sheets to the students of various courses.

Students have to pay an extra 5 hundred to 1 thousand taka to receive each certificate. Sometimes the amount goes up to 2 thousand taka. Security guards Abdus Salam and Abdur Rahman took the money in cognizant of the office chief, alleged the victims.

According to the sources, the admission notice of Satkhira Law College was published recently for LLB first year admission under the academic session 2015-16. Students of Open University went to the Satkhira regional center to take their certificates for that course admission. But the security guard Abdur Rahman and Abdus Salam demand extra money against the certificate.

According to the sources of Satkhira regional center of Open University, fees for SSC (1st and 2nd year) under Bangladesh Open University is 4 thousand and 425 taka, HSC (1st and 2nd year) is 5 thousand and 25 taka, and Degree (6 semesters) is 14 thousand 325 taka.
