King and Queen Election Campaign Ongoing at JU Campus

Rag-38 candidates of King and Queen

King and Queen Election to celebrate the education concluding festival of 38th batch students (Rag-38) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) will be held on May 29, 2015.

The university is in a festive mood centering the election of Rag-38. Campaign for the election is now on high. The king and queen candidates are passing a busy time at the end of the time.

According to the election commission, resident of AFM Kamal Uddin Hall & Anthropology department student SJM Sourav Xahin and resident of Mawlana Bhasani Hall & Drama and Dramatics department student Shihab Shawon are the candidates for King of Rag-38.

Resident of Begum Khaleda Zia Hall & Philosophy department student Sadia Rahman Sejuti and resident of Pritilata Hall & Institute of Business Administration student Sadia Rahman Sejuti Rehnuma Tasneem Fariba are the candidates for Queen of Rag-38.

Account BenefitMeanwhile, the election has created a festive atmosphere on the campus. Every candidate is passing a busy time to get more votes at the end of the time. They are seeking votes from the friends every day at residential halls.

The campaign works are ongoing at various points, tea shop and the Bot-tala. Meanwhile, some of the candidates hang up the poster into the wall of various faculties, halls and important points on the campus, some distributing leaflets. The election campaign is also on Facebook.

Convener of Rag-38 celebrating committee Nohash said, the date of Rag festival was scheduled in June 2015. But, the festival will be organized after the Eid due to the closure of university.
