51 Out of 129 Students Failed at DU Semester Final Exam

50 students failed in one course of DU

Widespread result disaster has been occurred in the 4th semester (Second Year) final exam of 19th batch Banking and Insurance department under the Business Studies Faculty of Dhaka University (DU).

There were five courses in the fourth semester. A total of 51 students were failed among 129 students participated in the examinations. Among them, 50 students have failed in a course. And the 13 of the students failed in all the courses.

The information was found by analyzing the results published on May 18, 2015. The students of the 19th batch expressed their anger over this unexpected result disaster.

On the other hand, chairman of the 19th batch result committee, department chairman and dean, Faculty of Business Studies Professor Shibly Rubayetul Islam mentioned this result as unusual.

Account BenefitHe said, the results could be poor due to the mathematical terms in this course. But it is unusual, that this many students failed in a course.

Member of the result committee and in charge of developing the mark sheet, Professor Dr. Azizur Rahman Khan (AR Khan) said, we have published the combination of results as same as we get it. We have no hand out of this.

However, Dean Shibly Rubayetul Islam promised to arrange necessary investigation if the students submit applications mentioning the reason of poor result.
