NU Introduces New Course on Bangladesh's Liberation War

NU introduces new course

National University (NU) authority has introduced a 100-mark mandatory subject on Liberation War of Bangladesh named "History of Emergence of Independent Bangladesh" for all its Bachelor and Degree courses students.

Considering the importance of the subject, a special training program titled 'The Emergence of Independent Bangladesh' will be organized at the national university for its college teachers. I am requesting the college teachers to participate in that training program.

Vice-Chancellor of National University, Professor Harun-ur-Rashid said this at the certificate giving ceremony of 90th training program for college teachers as the chief guest.

Controller of Examinations of National University Md. Badruzzaman said the students of Honors and Degree (pass) courses under arts, social sciences, commerce and science groups enrolling from 2012-13 academic year would have to study the subject. The new course has four credits. Historians appreciated and welcomed the decision.

Account BenefitThe authority also decided sending 'academic monitoring teams' to its affiliated colleges to see their academic activities. It further decided to introduce the university's campus-based one and a half-year master's and MBA programs.
