University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) is offering them a great scholarship opportunity. They will bear the entire cost of your stay and meals in Australia.

Subjects:
Studying subjects at University of Technology, Sydney. The scholarship will be available for Two-year Masters or 3-year PhD programs.

The Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Education. APA scholarships are awarded to students of exceptional research potential undertaking a Higher Degree Research (HDR) in Australia.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for an APA, a student must:
Have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honors; be undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) at the University in the year of the APA (APAs are not available to applicants whose enrolment into a postgraduate research program has not been accepted by the University); be enrolled as a full-time student; be an overseas student (who is an IPRS holder from 2011); not have completed a degree at the same or higher level as the proposed candidature; and not previously have held an Australian Government-funded postgraduate research scholarship, unless it was terminated within six months of the APA payments commencing; and (g) not be receiving an equivalent award, scholarship (excluding an IPRS).

Where applicants do not hold a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honors, the University may determine that the applicant has demonstrated an equivalent level of academic attainment. In determining an equivalent level of academic attainment, the University may consider previous study, relevant work experience, research publications, referees' reports and other research experience.

Account BenefitScholarship Benefits:
The APA covers general living expenses for a period of two years for a Research Masters degree or three years for a Research Doctorate degree. In 2015 the amount for this scholarship is A$ 25,392 (14,88,570 BDT) per annum and is indexed annually.

Payments are made in equal fortnightly installments directly to a nominated account in the APA holder's name with an Australian Authorized Deposit-taking Institution through the University's payment system. Under Section 23(z) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1936 (as amended), full-time students are exempt from taxation.

Selection Policy:
The APA is awarded in accordance with the eligibility requirements outlined in the Guidelines and on a competitive basis using the respective Faculty/Institute's scoring system based on: academic merit of the applicant; research and other relevant experience of the applicant; publications record of the applicant; relevance of the proposed research to the University's research strengths.
