SUST Administration Imposed a Ban on Smoking in Campus

No smoking at SUST camous

The administration of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has imposed a ban on smoking at the campus in public.

A notice signed by the Proctor (Acting) of the university, Emdadul Haque on March 18, 2015 (Wednesday) said about the ban on smoking at the campus in public.

According to the notification, "The proctorial body of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has already banned the smoking in public places within the campus. Students have been directed not to smoke in public places of the campus. Proctorial body thinks the honorable teachers, staff-employees of the university need to cooperate about this."

Account BenefitWhen asked what would be the punishment for smoking in public places, Proctor Md. Emdadul Haque said, the smoker in public places will be punished with the existing laws though the proctorial bodies not imposed any punished in their directives.
