Zafar Iqbal Suggests for Women's Cricket Team at SUST

Women's cricket team to form at SUST

Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal suggested the formation of women's cricket team at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) as well as he announced that, he will bear the costs of this team.

He announced that at the manifestation after the programs of International Women's Day at SUST with the slogan "Women's empowerment, development of humanity" on March 08, 2015 (Sunday).

Dr. Zafar Iqbal said, not only in Bangladesh, women's has been kept behind across the world. Women cannot focus on their career for giving time to the babies after delivery.

There are fewer opportunities for females in many institutions, but why this happening, he said. It should accept that a mother spend time for her children, so why should deprived her from the opportunities. Women do not lag behind in their career if all the organizations has child's day-care center like SUST.

Account BenefitThe manifestation was conducted by the convener of combined, social, cultural, voluntary and sports alliance and general secretary of Nongor, Sarwar Tushar.

Professor Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Professor Dr. Sabina Islam, former President of Shikor, Sheikh Shabbir and student Atasi were spoke at the meeting.

A women bicycle rally was held before the meeting. Over half of hundred female students took part at the rally.
