Rokeya Hall champion at women's cricket

Begum Rokeya Hall of Dhaka University (DU) becomes champion in the final match of Inter-Hall Women's Cricket Competition by defeating Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall on March 09, 2015 (Monday) afternoon.

The Central Cricket Committee of Dhaka University organized the tournament on the initiative of Women and Gender Studies department with the collaboration of Centre for Men and Masculinities Studies (CMMS). Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib hall becomes runners-up at the tournament.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Nasreen Ahmad distributed prizes among the winners by attending the closing ceremony as the chief guest after ending of final match at the Central playground of Dhaka University.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain was attended the program as special guest. Senior teachers of the university, several Hall Provosts, house tutor, and huge number of students were present at the program while the President of University Central Cricket Committee Professor Dr. Subrata Kumar Aditya chaired the program.

The state minister for Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Meher Afroz Chumki inaugurated the "Inter-Hall Women's Cricket Competition" on March 01, 2015.
