InnoVision from IBA, DU Highlight Our Country to the World

Team InnoVision wins 10,000 Dollars

Young people of Bangladesh can show their own talents in front of the world, can hoist the red-green flag if they get the proper opportunity.

Team Innovision from IBA, Dhaka University become champion at the "Thought for Food" (TFF) competition in Portugal by defeating more than 300 teams from 51 countries of Europe, Africa and Asia.

Members of this team are, Lamia Anwar, Rubaiyat Tasfiya Rahman, Shafinaj Hossain and Samiha Zaker. Team Innovision wins 10 thousand US Dollar (about 8 lakh taka in Bangladeshi currency) as the champion.

The Swedish team 'FoPo Food Powder' has become the runners up, and the Indian team 'Ahaar' from IIT Mumbai becomes second runners up in this world championship held on February 13 and 14, 2015.

Lamia closed her eyes when she shares the experience of the competition. And then she said, "I just see that day of the final round of the competition clearly when I close my eyes".

Thousands of young people congratulate us with applause and with the mouth, saying, Bangladesh... Bangladesh. The chest is filled with pride when the scene becomes remembered.

Account BenefitSafinaj said about the main issue of their project. She said, "Our project name was 'Food Fresh'. We showed how to keep the fruits and vegetables fresh longer utilizing the evaporation of water without using formalin, and to prevent rotten during transport."

Samiha said, more than 13 hundreds of students gathered at Portugal from Cornell University, USA; Briston University, UK; University of Melbourne, Australia; University of Lund, Sweden and many of the renowned universities. We were able to highlight the identity of our country among so many talented students; no experience could be bigger than this!

Lamia said, "We want to go a long way. We want to invest the winning money in our project. We want to create a food system, where there is no poison like formalin."
