Spring 2015 orientation held at EU

The orientation ceremony for the Undergraduate level students of Spring 2015 semester of EU was held on 27 January 2015 at the University Plaza.

Mr. Shahid Hossain, Managing Director, Southeast Bank Limited graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Ex-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of EU was present as the special guest while the Vice-Chancellor of EU, Professor Dr. Abdur Rab presided over the ceremony.

In his welcome speech the Pro-VC of EU, Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury outlined some facilities and opportunities for the students of EU and inspired them to gain knowledge in the class rooms and gather experience through participating in extra/co-curricular activities.

The Special Guest, Mr. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury urged the students to be honest as well as a skilled professionals. The Chief Guest of the program congratulated the newly admitted undergraduate students for choosing EU as their esteemed institution. In his speech he requested the students to enhance their skills in addition to their academic knowledge to become the future leaders and a good citizen. He offered some practical tips to avoid being inefficient.

Account BenefitThe Vice-Chancellor of EU, Professor Dr. Abdur Rab mentioned the initiatives taken to brand the University. Such initiatives include introduction of world-class course curriculum, appointment of nationally recognized faculty members, internationalization of education etc. and shared his vision about the quality education at Eastern University.

The VC thanked parents and guardians for putting their faith and trust on EU authority. Among others, Deans, Advisers and Registrar spokes on the occasion.
