Nine Held over Cheating at IU Bachelor Admission Test

Six people were arrested on the second day of Bachelor first year admission tests of Islamic University (IU) due to the involvement in mobile phone fraud.

A Dhaka University (DU) student of 2013-2014 academic session under Political Science department, Habibur Rahman has been arrested for the crime of proxy exam.

Shahidul Islam, Atikur Atiqur Rahman, Poly Khatun, Asma Khatun, Sarna Saha and M. Samman Gim were arrested in connection with fraud. The university administration handed them to the police.

Meanwhile, 41 candidates have been expelled due to using the mobile phone in the exam hall despite a ban on the use of mobile phones in the examination hall. Professor Dr. Abdul Hakim Sarkar has confirmed the information.

The Proctor of the University, Professor Dr. TM Lokman Hakim said, the detainees were handed over to the police and preparing to sue. The admission test for B-Unit (Arts Faculty) was held on November 24, 2015 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in four shifts.
