Dr. Wazed Ali Foundation Asks BRUR to Return Gifted Bus

Nuclear Scientist Dr. Wazed Ali Foundation has sent a legal notice to the Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) asks to return their gifted bus.

AKM Sayadat Hossain Bakul (Wazed's nephew) is the chairman of late husband of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Nuclear Scientist Dr. Wazed Ali Foundation and vice president of district Awami League. His Advocate Rais Uddin has sent that legal notice on October 23, 2014 to the Vice Chancellor of BRUR.

University sources said, chairman of Wazed Ali Foundation Sayadat Hossain officially handed over the keys of the Bus to the former Vice-Chancellor of BRUR Abdul Jalil Mia on March 12, 2012. A press release was delivered then from Mohammad Ali, the information officer of public relations, information and publishing department of the university to publish the news. Legal notice has been sent now to return that Bus.

The Notice said, the Bus was given to the former Vice-Chancellor Abdul Jalil Mia on March 12, 2012 for monthly rent of Tk. 30,000/-. The rent of three months (October, November and December) of that year was paid. No agreement was issued after his leaving. As a result, no rent was paid. University authorities have to bear all the expenses for the preservation of the bus. Legal action will be taken after 7 days from the legal notice issued date if the Bus will not be returned with the due rents.
